Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents' dietary needs and provide a welcoming dining experience. You will help with setup, preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals, report to the Director or Dietary Manager, and participate in training for new dietary staff.

The role emphasizes assisting with service, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Preference for experience in food service and working with seniors.
• Must be or be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy, hot items and stand/walk for most of shift.
• Second language ability is a plus.
• Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Record Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in setup and preparation for service of beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery after each seating.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area.
• Assist with catering and participate in special events and training.
