Job summary

IREX is a global solutions provider focused on digital safety, online safety, and cybersecurity programming. The Senior Technical Specialist will support program delivery, partner engagement, trainings, content development, and compliance across a portfolio in the Global Impact Hub.

The role also translates learning and technical approaches into materials for proposals, donor engagement, and new partnerships, contributing to growth and sustained impact in digital safety initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience in international development, program management, digital development, online safety, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating complex programs or projects, including managing workplans, timelines, deliverables, events, partners, and multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical or complex information into clear, practical materials for different audiences.
  • Experience developing reports, presentations, training materials, knowledge products, or other program and technical content.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with partners, participants, donors, consultants, and colleagues across different cultures, sectors, and areas of expertise.
  • Experience supporting proposals, concept notes, donor presentations, or other business development efforts, including research, writing, editing, and preparation of compelling presentation materials.
  • Demonstrated interest in digital safety, online safety, responsible technology, or related issues, and the curiosity and initiative to build deeper technical knowledge.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of assignments, follow through consistently, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when working with sensitive topics, program information, or communities that may face heightened digital and online risks.
  • A collaborative, adaptable, and solutions‑oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively across program, technical, operational, and business development teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook and Copilot.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with a willingness to identify opportunities, improve processes, and support colleagues where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate digital and online safety activities, including trainings, workshops, and technical assistance; maintain workplans and reports.
  • Coordinate communication with partners, participants, consultants, vendors, and colleagues; engage with stakeholders to strengthen digital resilience.
  • Support trainings, events, and learning activities; develop program materials, reports, and practical tools.
  • Support payments, procurement, budgets, and documentation; maintain records aligned with donor requirements.
  • Assist with proposals, donor materials, and partnership opportunities; prepare presentations for potential donors.
