Job summary

Rocket is seeking a Senior Print Center Technician in Detroit to manage print production from prepress to finishing. You will prioritize production schedules, coordinate mail deliveries, ensure quality, and operate and maintain printing equipment.

You will prepare finished products for pickup or delivery and collaborate with clients on project needs. You will also mentor technicians, develop best practices for the digital print environment, and select media/substrates to meet project

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in the print industry.
• Digital Press Operator certificate.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver heavy carts.

Responsibilities

• Prepress workflow of digital print jobs, including file manipulation, color calibration, job setup and RIP software.
• Print and finish digital print jobs using various equipment and techniques.
• Prepare finished product for pickup or delivery.
• Coordinate with business area owners on digital print materials.
• Consult with clients on project needs.
• Select the appropriate media and substrates for each project.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on print/finishing equipment.
• Maintain inventory of print materials and supplies.
• Train and mentor other print center technicians.
• Develop and implement best practices for the digital print environment.
• Move and/or lift boxes up to 50 lbs.
