Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Designer in Scottsdale, AZ to lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of advanced digital hardware for mission-critical applications. You will drive schematic capture, PCB layout, and high-speed digital analysis while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline.
• Min 8 years of digital hardware design experience; or Master's with min 6 years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience with schematic capture and electronic hardware development.
• Experience designing multilayer printed circuit boards with controlled impedance requirements.
• Experience performing signal integrity analysis, crosstalk analysis, and hardware verification.
• Experience working with microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and SoC architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support advanced digital hardware systems and electronic equipment.
• Create and maintain complex schematics and PCB designs.
• Develop multilayer PCB layouts with controlled impedance routing and blind via technologies.
• Analyze and troubleshoot signal integrity, crosstalk, and high-speed digital circuit performance.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Min 8 years of digital hardware design experience; or Master's degree with Min 6 years of digital hardware design experience, along with the following:
• Experience with schematic capture and electronic hardware development.
• Experience designing multilayer printed circuit boards with controlled impedance requirements.
• Experience performing signal integrity analysis, crosstalk analysis, and hardware verification.
• Experience working with microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and SoC architectures.
• Experience troubleshooting and validating complex digital hardware designs.
