Job summary

HKA seeks an experienced Digital Forensics Consultant to lead and support complex legal, regulatory, and investigative matters. This hands-on, client-facing role requires managing sensitive evidence, making sound technical decisions, and confidently representing the team with attorneys and clients.

You will work across computers, mobile devices, cloud platforms, email systems, and other digital sources, delivering defensible forensics with clear guidance and ownership of client matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in digital forensics or related field.
• 5+ years of digital forensics, forensic technology, incident response, or related eDiscovery experience.
• Hands-on experience collecting, preserving, and analyzing electronic evidence using defensible methods.
• Experience with cloud data sources and common enterprise tools.
• Ability to lead client discussions and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct defensible forensic collections from computers, mobile devices, cloud platforms, and other data sources.
• Lead or support on-site data collections at client facilities with travel as needed.
• Preserve, verify, document, and transfer electronically stored information with chain of custody.
• Perform forensic examinations and analyses in support of litigation, regulatory matters, and investigations.
• Use standard forensic tools to identify, recover, analyze, and report on electronic evidence.
• Document processes, findings, and conclusions clearly and defensibly.
• Assist with preparation of technical reports, summaries, and client deliverables.
• Load data into Relativity and support eDiscovery workspace setup, reviews, and productions.
• Collaborate with attorneys, investigators, and other technical specialists.
• Identify data gaps and risks; propose practical solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of forensic tools and best practices.
