Job summary

Quantum Sky seeks a Digital Forensic and Incident Response Analyst to support a Federal client. You will examine recovered data, perform forensic analysis, and collaborate with threat hunters within an established SOC to strengthen cyber defense capabilities.

Hybrid work with on-site presence as needed; a Secret Clearance is required. The compensation range is $145,000–$155,000, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 years general experience and 3 years digital forensics experience.
• Competent with forensic tools (Encase, Wireshark).
• Core competencies in forensics, networking and operating systems.
• Experience in SOC, IR, malware analysis, IDS/IPS analyses.
• Knowledge of Python and regular expressions.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS and command lines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze digital evidence and investigate cybersecurity incidents using forensic techniques and tools.
• Provide technical summaries of findings per reporting procedures.
• Use discovered data to enable mitigation of cyber defense incidents.
• Perform hashing for chain of custody and validation.
• Ensure chain of custody for digital media per Federal Rules of Evidence.
• Support forensic application updates and replacements as technology changes.
• Provide written reports on analysis findings for customers.
