Job summary

Charles River Associates seeks a senior Digital Forensic and Incident Response leader to direct security investigations for clients and oversee cross-functional teams. You will provide expert analysis, guide engagement activities, and contribute to business development across cyber risk engagements.

The role requires 10+ years in cyber intrusion, digital forensics or incident response, a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field, and willingness to travel for client projects.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in cyber intrusion investigation, digital forensics or incident response analysis.
• Ability to effectively lead teams, prioritize multiple projects and meet timely deadlines.
• Hands-on technical role as testifying expert, incident responder, network forensic analyst or malware analyst.
• Experience leading data analytics engagements and managing technology-based best practices.
• Working knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems, file systems, networks, e-mail, mobile devices, IT security or incident response.
• Deep knowledge of networking (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows/*nix) and web technologies.
• Experience performing pixel-tracking investigations.
• Experience in software development lifecycle, full-stack development and source code review.
• Willing and able to travel for client projects.

Responsibilities

• Leading security and privacy investigations for CRA clients, including data security matters and cyber breach response.
• Performing forensic analysis of digital information using standard techniques and tools.
• Serving as primary client contact for engagement activities.
• Supervising project team execution and quality assurance of work products.
• Identifying opportunities and driving improvements for the digital forensic and incident response team.
• Maintaining relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Creating and maintaining a leveraged team environment and talent recruitment.
• Participating in business development: building client relationships, drafting proposals, pitches.
