Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a seasoned software engineer in Marlborough, MA to design and integrate enterprise-scale fulfillment systems using MACH, Sterling Order Management, and microservices. You will collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions and work with on-shore/off-shore delivery models.

The role demands strong Java/Spring and cloud experience, and a track record of delivering complex order-management platforms in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer / Information Science is required.
• 8+ years' experience delivering scalable, distributed platforms.
• 5+ years' experience implementing Order Management and Omni-channel Fulfillment.
• 4+ years' experience with Java, Spring Batch, PL/SQL, Microservices.
• Strong relational database and SQL knowledge.
• Experience with WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) and IBM DB2.
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, MQ, Oracle, Spring Microservices, JMS, Web Services, Kubernetes.
• Experience in Cloud Environments and Agile development.
• Proficient with Git/SVN version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain enterprise-scale fulfillment solutions using MACH, React Native and Sterling Order Management.
• Work with IBM Sterling Order Management and associated microservices.
• Integrate order management and ecommerce platforms with scalable microservice solutions.
• Build integrations and feeds to 3rd party providers and internal systems.
• Collaborate in an on-shore/off-shore delivery model to meet aggressive timelines.
• Contribute to building scalable, secure software and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain enterprise-scale fulfillment solutions using using MACH (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-Native and Headless), React Native frameworks, Sterling Order Management.
• IBM Sterling Order Management and associated microservices.
• Integrate order management and ecommerce platforms with highly scalable micro service solutions.
• Build integrations and feeds to 3rd party providers and internal consuming systems.
• Ability to work in an on-shore-offshore delivery model to deliver code continuously to meet an aggressive timeline.
• Experience in building highly scalable, secure, air-tight software.
• Excellent Problem-Solving skills with ability to work with multiple cross functional teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues in timebound manner.
• Strong Oral and Written Communication.
• Proven ability to build and maintain a high-quality, high intelligence engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer / Information Science required
• 8+ years industry experience delivering scalable, distributed platforms.
• 5+ years of Experience with implementing Order Management, Omni channel Fulfillment processes
• 4+ years of strong experience in Java, Spring Batch, PL/SQL, Microservices
• Ability to solution and architect JAVA/J2ee based applications
• Strong knowledge on relational databases with SQL
• Strong knowledge on data structures
• Experience with WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) and IBM DB2
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, MQ, Oracle, Spring Microservices, Spring Batch, Java Message Service (JMS), Web Services, Kubernetes
• Experience working in a Cloud Environment
• Experience working in Agile development environment
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / SVN
• Other skills
• Hands-on, execution-oriented, and capable of getting things done quickly.

Job Conditions

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days. In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $115,750.00 - $147,250.00 We recognize the growing role of AI tools, including ChatGPT, and value familiarity with them.
