Cubic Transportation Systems is seeking an experienced Circuit Card Assembly Design Engineer in San Diego to lead the development of high-speed CCAs from concept to production.

The role requires expertise in Altium Designer, circuit card layout, and signal integrity for complex boards featuring FPGAs, memory, and high-speed interfaces. You will collaborate across engineering teams and vendors to meet requirements and schedules.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; DOD clearance eligible.
• Eight years of related experience or a Master’s with six years.
• Ability to work under deadlines and travel 10%.

Aufgaben

• Interpret system level requirements.
• Design, analyze, testing, and documentation of state-of-the-art Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
• Schematic design using Altium Designer.
• Specifies highly optimized PCB stackups based on the latest low loss materials and glass styles.
• Develops circuit, component, subsystem, and equipment interfaces and procurement specifications.
• Designs digital, analog or RF circuits, components, and subsystems.
• Author of detailed and comprehensive electrical layout rules based on empirical data.
• Performs circuit interconnection or subsystem prototype assembly.
• Prepares design and operation objectives, specifications and resource needs.
• Recommends test control, strategies, apparatus and equipment.
• Supports interfaces with customers, contractors and vendors.
• Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
• Conducts in-house design reviews and technical meetings.
• Prepares design proposal reflecting cost, schedule and approaches.
• Monitors project status and progress.
