Job summary

The Athletic is seeking a Senior Sales Planner to partner with Advertising Sales, shaping strategic digital and audio campaigns for advertisers and agencies. You will manage RFPs, collaborate with Strategy and Program Management, and mentor junior planners while driving best-in-class campaigns and client relationships.

The role demands strong planning, data-driven storytelling, and cross-functional leadership within the pod structure.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of related experience in digital advertising.
• Digital Planning experience is a prerequisite.
• BS/BA degree required.
• Attention to detail and organized.
• Experience with proposal systems is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Office apps; familiarity with sales/Data tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and develop media plans from inception to completion, understanding inventory and KPIs.
• Act as a trusted planning expert to Sales, Strategy, and PM within pod structure.
