Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Sr Diet Aide for on-site duties in Webster, MA. The role combines Diet Aide tasks with cooking responsibilities to prepare and distribute meals for patients, staff, and external programs.

Emphasis on sanitation, quality service, and adherence to department policies. Responsibilities include following HACCP standards, attending meetings, and helping manage food costs while maintaining a respectful, professional work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English including being able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• ServSafe certification obtained within 1 year of employment.
• 2 years if culinary food service training.
• Preferred: 3 years institutional cooking experience, preferably in health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Follows all HACCP standards.
• Follows all contract services policies and procedures.
• Possesses excellent customer service skills.
• Participates in the containment of department food costs.
• Attends and participates in dietary department meetings.
• Assists in keeping Press Ganey scores within or greater than departmental targets/goals.
