Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (GED) (Required).
• Having at least 6+ years of working experience in a related field.
• Valid Driver’s License (required).
• Must provide and maintain essential mechanic tools and toolbox for daily tasks.
• Required to complete SpartanNash certification for safe driving skills for material handling equipment, tractors, and trailers (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Assesses the preventive maintenance schedule to ensure equipment maintenance is completed on schedule
• Meets with supervisor/lead to discuss work orders and priorities, proactively identifying any issues or conditions which might affect the operation of the equipment
• Utilizes maintenance systems to ensure timely and accurate documentation of maintenance and repair work performed
• Maintains current knowledge of regulations and laws within assigned areas (i.e. DOT) to ensure shop compliance
• Prepares and/or completes DOT inspections and related paperwork accurately and timely
• Effectively collaborates with other departments as appropriate
