Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Senior Level Diesel Technician in Mobile, Alabama to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and ensure accurate inspections with support from the Shop Management System.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience with mechanical repair of heavy/medium duty engines.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred.
• Must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Complete inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Utilize shop management system and documentation.
• Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
