Job summary

Resource Transport LLC is seeking a Master Diesel Technician to perform advanced diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on Kenworth tractors with PACCAR MX engines. This lead role mentors technicians and ensures repairs are completed safely and correctly the first time.

You will diagnose electrical, aftertreatment, emissions, and drivetrain systems, perform engine overhauls, and document repairs and parts usage while maintaining OEM safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kenworth tractors and PACCAR MX engines.
• Advanced diagnostic and root-cause troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with electrical systems, multiplexing, and CAN communication networks.
• Working knowledge of aftertreatment and emissions systems (DPF, SCR, EGR).
• Ability to perform engine, transmission, and drivetrain repairs.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Own set of hand tools appropriate to the trade.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on Kenworth tractors using Davie4 and OEM diagnostic software.
• Diagnose and repair PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines.
• Troubleshoot electrical, aftertreatment, emissions, fuel, cooling, and drivetrain systems.
• Perform engine overhauls, cylinder head repairs, and major component replacements.
• Diagnose and repair Eaton, Allison, and PACCAR transmission systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential failures before downtime.
• Accurately document repairs, parts usage, and labor hours.
• Support and mentor apprentice and journeyman technicians.
• Ensure all repairs meet OEM specifications and company safety standards.
• Support DOT compliance and inspection readiness across the fleet.
