Job summary

W.W. Williams is seeking two to three Senior Diesel Technicians (Journeyman/Tech 1) for a full-time, day-shift, on-site role in Wakefield, MA.

You will own the most challenging diagnostics for fleet customers’ Detroit, Cummins and Allison-powered trucks and mentor junior technicians. The position rewards senior-level expertise with top-of-scale pay, OT, and factory training from Detroit, Allison, and Cummins in your first quarter, plus growth toward shop lead and senior technician tiers within a

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a journeyman / Tech 1 on Class 6–8 trucks.
• ASE Medium/Heavy Truck certified (full T2–T8 series).
• OEM certifications: Detroit (DTNA), Allison and/or Cummins.
• Strong electronic diagnostics: DiagnosticLink, Cummins INSITE, Allison DOC, laptop-based troubleshooting.
• Engine, aftertreatment (DPF/SCR), electrical and transmission repair, from diagnosis to road test.
• Your own professional tool set and a valid driver’s license (CDL-A a plus).

Responsibilities

• Own the toughest diagnostic jobs in the shop on fleet customers’ Detroit, Cummins and Allison-powered trucks.
• Get it right the first time: diagnose, repair, road test and document it.
• Be the go-to tech who helps junior techs get unstuck.
