Job summary

W.W. Williams in Atlanta, GA seeks two to three Senior Diesel Technicians (Journeyman/Tech 1). You will own the toughest diagnostics on fleet Detroit, Cummins and Allison powered trucks, diagnose and repair right the first time, and mentor junior technicians.

This full-time, day-shift, on-site role offers top-of-scale pay with overtime, paid holidays, and access to OEM and company training, with clear paths to lead technician roles across our East region.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as journeyman / Tech 1 on Class 6–8 trucks.
• ASE Medium/Heavy Truck certified (full T2–T8).
• OEM certifications: Detroit (DTNA), Allison and/or Cummins.
• Strong electronic diagnostics: DiagnosticLink, Cummins INSITE, Allison DOC, laptop-based troubleshooting.
• Engine, aftertreatment (DPF/SCR), electrical and transmission repair, from diagnosis to road test.
• Your own professional tool set and a valid driver’s license (CDL-A a plus).

Responsibilities

• Own the toughest diagnostic jobs in the shop on fleet customers’ Detroit, Cummins and Allison-powered trucks.
• Get it right the first time: diagnose, repair, road test and document it.
• Be the go-to tech who helps junior techs get unstuck.
