Job summary

Schneider in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Senior Diesel Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on company tractors. You will make safety-first repair decisions, run estimations, and complete rebuilds as needed.

The role requires a technical degree in diesel technology or a related field and at least two years of diesel technician experience. Strong communication and tool ownership within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of diesel technician experience required.
• Knowledge of diagnostic software and after-treatment repairs.
• Able to use computer systems and diagnostic software to estimate work and interpret results.
• Able to provide recommendations on maintenance and repair decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, annual vehicle inspections, component replacements and other repairs on tractors.
• Complete inspections, diagnosis and work estimations.
• Communicate status updates with internal customers.
