Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company seeks a Senior Diesel Technician for our Miami service center. You will ensure safe, reliable vehicles and equipment across customer segments, diagnosing complex issues in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, with a focus on precise repairs and continuous improvement.

The role requires an active ASE Master Certification in Medium/Heavy Duty Truck and a Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement (or commitment to obtain within 12 months).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of diesel technician experience.
• Active ASE Master Certification in Medium/Heavy Duty.
• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Valid Driver's License (Non CDL).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safe working practices and company policies.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs using diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain and repair vehicles and equipment to ensure reliability.
• Read and interpret operating manuals, blueprints, and drawings.
• Inspect parts for wear using precision tools and gauges.
• Order and track parts through the FA system.
• Communicate with vendors and customers on status and needs.
• Apply analytical reasoning to select optimal repair approaches.
