Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. is seeking a Senior Diesel Technician in Atlanta (1st shift) to oversee safety-focused repair decisions and perform tractor maintenance and repairs.

You will diagnose, inspect, and estimate work, communicating progress to internal customers and team members. The role requires a technical degree in diesel technology with at least two years of experience, proficiency with diagnostic software, and the ability to bring your own tools within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field.
• Minimum of two years of diesel technician experience.
• Knowledge of diagnostic software, Detroit engines and after treatment repairs.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Job overview:

• Make repair decisions that prioritize safety as a Senior Diesel Technician in Atlanta.
• Perform all tractor estimations, diagnoses and corrections on company tractors.
• Complete routine rebuilds and replacements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of preventive maintenance, annual vehicle inspections, component replacements and other repairs on tractors.
