Job summary

KBR Careers in Jacksonville, Florida, seeks an experienced MCPP Engineer Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel engines and MVAC-driven equipment, including heavy cranes, forklifts, and earthmoving tools. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, rebuilding, and guiding junior mechanics.

Applicants should have substantial field experience, a valid driver’s license, and eligibility for CAC/Base access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course or equivalent.
• Completion of MVAC course and valid certificate.
• Must have a valid state driver license and CAC/Base Access eligibility.
• Ability to read technical manuals and use instruments.
• U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair MVAC and diesel systems.
• Repair engines and equipment such as cranes, forklifts, loaders.
• Perform maintenance at intermediate and major rebuild levels.
• Provide technical guidance to lower level mechanics.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
