Job summary

The Edventure Group in Wheeling, IL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment. You will service chassis, refuse bodies, air brake and electrical systems, engines, HVAC, and suspension and drive trains to support our drivers on their routes.

5–7 years in heavy-duty truck maintenance plus strong diagnostic skills are required. ASE T1–T8 is a plus; CDL and LNG/CNG exposure are beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Experience working on heavy-duty trucks (5-7 years).
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of vehicle components and systems and performs complex repair tasks on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies including hydraulic and electrical systems; air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Fuel systems diagnostics and repairs, including diesel.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
• HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Aftertreatment systems, REGEN and diagnostics.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools.
• Line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools.
• Complete required company training and perform other duties as assigned.
