Job summary

Twin Towing in New Jersey is seeking a seasoned Diesel Mechanic to maintain a diverse fleet, including light and heavy-duty tow trucks, tractors, trailers, and various heavy equipment. This is a full-time, hands-on position that rewards meticulous workmanship.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, replace lighting systems, weld and fabricate as needed, and use diagnostic software to interpret error codes. Team collaboration and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Experience with both light and heavy-duty vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Must possess a personal set of tools for a wide range of tasks.
• Welding and fabrication abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and keep accurate records.
• Diagnose malfunctions and undertake necessary repairs with precision.
• Replace and repair lighting systems and wiring for trucks and trailers.
• Welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment.
• Use computer diagnostics to interpret error codes and system alerts.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to complete tasks efficiently.
