Hours & Location

• Monday – Friday, 4:00 am – 2:30 pm (occasional Saturdays)
• Repair/maintenance shop at the Sun Valley, CA hauling site

Responsibilities

As a Senior Diesel Mechanic you will work on equipment serving over 20 million customers across the USA, delivering exceptional maintenance on diesel equipment and, at some locations, on the growing fleet of CNG trucks.

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs for vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Conduct safety checks, prioritizing the safety of employees and the community.
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards and established safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience with diesel mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete a pre‑employment drug screen and physical exam.

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing.
• Exposure to physical occupational risks such as cuts, burns, and toxic chemicals.
• Exposure to environmental conditions including dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes at both indoor and outdoor job sites.
• Work in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions and outside conditions with inclement weather, heat, and humidity.

The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $37.75 per hour. This range represents a good‑faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
