Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a skilled truck technician to diagnose and repair heavy- and light-duty diesel and alternative fuel trucks including CNG and hybrids. You will work with electronic systems, service manuals, and diagnostic tools to maximize uptime and reliability across our fleet.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, documenting workflow, ensuring safety, and mentoring junior technicians as needed. A CDL-B is preferred within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy- and light-duty trucks.
• Knowledge of brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic systems.
• Ability to interpret service manuals and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and repair equipment to maximize safe operations.
• Communicate with managers and drivers about issues and preventive techniques.
• Complete paperwork in a timely manner.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
• Use vehicle computer systems to interpret failures and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
• Maintain high ethics and dependability.
