Job summary

Meadow Gold is seeking a skilled Senior Fleet Mechanic to perform advanced diagnostic, repair, and overhaul work on trucks and trailers, ensuring equipment is available and in optimal condition. The role provides opportunities to earn additional ASE certifications and build expertise with diagnostic tools while working with other mechanics and supervision as needed.

Shift options include early morning schedules; compensation includes a base hourly rate with training incentives and shift

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
2 to 4 years of mechanic, maintenance, or related experience required.
Refrigeration license preferred.
Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.

Responsibilities

Perform basic to moderately difficult vehicle and preventive maintenance, component replacements, and repairs.
Maintain, repair, inspect, and/or replace brakes, steering mechanisms, springs, air bags, lights, air conditioners, water, fuel, oil, air filters, coolant and chemicals, transmissions, tire air pressure, tire tread, tires, chassis, drive lines, u-joints, air tanks, batteries, air lines, power cords, wipers, mirrors, drive train components, or other equipment as necessary.
Perform facility maintenance duties.
Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer where applicable.
Identify root cause of failures/conditions and perform repairs as required.
Interact with drivers to determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
Follow all safety, DOT and corporate compliance guidelines.
