Job summary
Vital Tech Solutions in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Diagnostic Diesel Technician to support maintenance operations with advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and diesel-powered truck and equipment repairs.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and emissions systems knowledge, read wiring diagrams, and bring at least 5 years of hands-on diesel experience. Mentoring junior technicians and adherence to safety and environmental guidelines are expected.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on diesel technician experience.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing aftertreatment systems: DPF, DEF, SCR.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting background and OEM tool proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Utilize OEM diagnostic software and tools to identify root causes and complete repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and flag potential equipment issues.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, steering, suspension, brake, and drivetrain issues.
- Maintain safety, environmental, and maintenance standards compliance.
- Document diagnostics, repairs, labor, and parts usage.
- Mentor junior technicians as needed.
