Job summary

Radcom seeks a Senior Diagnostic Medical Physicist to support imaging centers and hospital departments in the Dallas, TX area. The role covers evaluation of imaging systems, ensuring compliance with state regulations and accreditation, and advising on shielding and dose assessment.

The successful candidate will conduct routine audits, perform imaging system evaluations, participate in safety committees, and collaborate with radiologists and staff to optimize imaging quality and safety across

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Diagnostic Medical Physics (ABR/ CAMPEP residency).
• Clinical experience in diagnostic imaging and radiation safety.
• Knowledge of state regulations, ACR and TJC criteria.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine audits of compliance records related to equipment registration, regulations, and Radiation Protection Programs.
• Annual performance evaluations of radiologic imaging systems (fluoroscopy, radiography, mammography, CT), MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine.
• Oversee and review technologist quality control programs.
• Attend Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) and Radiation Protocol Committee (RPC) meetings.
• Consult staff on protocol management, dose assessment, and Radiation Protection Program Elements.
• Provide shielding design consultation and assess shielding adequacy.
• Review occupational dosimetry reports and ALARA evaluations.
• Assess public exposure around x-ray rooms.
• Provide training support for radiation safety and magnet safety.
