Brad Manning Ford is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Automotive Technician to join our service team. You will diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, using advanced diagnostic tools to identify root causes and deliver high-quality repairs.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction in a professional shop setting. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, understands modern vehicle systems, and can mentor others when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive technician experience preferred.
• Strong background in advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Experience with modern diagnostic equipment and repair software.
• ASE certifications preferred (Master Technician certifications are a plus).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in repair environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex automotive issues involving mechanical, electrical, drivability, and vehicle performance systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, service information, and technical resources.
• Identify root causes of vehicle concerns and develop accurate repair recommendations.
• Diagnose and repair major vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and advanced vehicle tech.
• Complete thorough multi-point inspections and identify safety, maintenance, and repair needs.
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and management regarding repair status and estimated completion times.
• Utilize digital inspection tools and repair documentation systems to provide detailed vehicle information.
• Stay current with evolving automotive technology, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniques.
