Job summary

Amazon's Global Solutions for Analytics, Risk, & Compliance (GSARC) seeks a Sr. Risk Manager with DG experience across air, ground, and ocean freight to build regulatory frameworks and controls for safe DG shipments in the US and international lanes.

The role requires collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and operations teams and heavy interaction with leadership. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in compliance/risk management, strong communication, and proficiency with regulatory standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required (Master's preferred).
• Experience in verbal and written communication for executive level leaders.
• IMDG, 49CFR, ICAO/IATA, or region specific accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Create DG enablement roadmaps and business requirements for new product launches across different transportation modes.
• Maintain subject matter expertise and current industry knowledge to advise senior leadership on regulatory requirements.
• Work with Legal partners to conduct regulatory assessments across multiple countries for international DG transportation and develop country-specific hazmat requirements.
• Develop operational procedures to ensure safe and compliant transportation of DG.
• Create and deploy training materials for operations teams across modes.
• Define DG performance frameworks and monitoring dashboards for multi-modal transport.
• Conduct site-specific assessments across facility types.
• Support launch readiness activities across all sites and provide ongoing compliance auditing post-launch.
