Job summary

Ampere, a semiconductor design company, is seeking a Principal Developer Tools Engineer to lead the development of the next generation of Dev Tools within the Debug Tools software team. You will build and scale infrastructure, tooling, and delivery processes to boost developer productivity, software quality, and release velocity.

You will partner with software, validation, and customer teams, implement automated tooling and CI/CD pipelines, and help define quality metrics and rollout practices

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development or developer tooling.
• Experience with containerized environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of next-gen Developer Tools.
• Architect CI/CD pipelines on GitLab with reusable components.
• Collaborate with software, validation, and customers to translate needs into tooling.
• Automate tooling development, testing, and release workflows.
• Define the Debug Tools delivery lifecycle and quality gates.
• Design tooling to support delivery methods and development model.
• Implement automated failure analysis within release pipelines.
• Scale infrastructure using containers and GitLab Runners.
• Improve configuration and versioning practices for traceability.
