Job summary

LMI Government Consulting seeks a Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and manage a PaaS environment that runs containerized apps across hybrid and multi-cloud setups. You will collaborate with Navy users and developers to ensure stability, security, and speed.

Remote (U.S. based) with some travel. Strong emphasis on automation, security, and continuous delivery within federal programs.

Qualifications

Active Secret clearance or higher and DoD 8570/8140 baseline certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE).
5+ years as a DevSecOps or Platform Engineer in DoD, federal, or highly regulated environments.
Significant experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure with AWS GovCloud and hybrid clouds.
Hands-on Kubernetes administration and Helm chart development (CKAD/CKA preferred).
Strong RHEL administration and scripting for automated hardening.
Advanced pipelines experience in GitLab with migration from Bitbucket.

Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain GitLab Pipelines for robust deployment.
Migrate legacy repositories and workflows from Bitbucket to GitLab.
Provision infrastructure across AWS GovCloud, edge, and Navy networks using Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab.
Drive containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes for mission-critical apps.
Develop Helm Charts and ensure resilience with Velero backups and testing.
Automate RHEL image hardening and STIG checklists; maintain ATO readiness.
Integrate automated security scanning into pipelines to sustain ATO and ICAM integration.
Establish monitoring, alerting, and reporting with Prometheus and Grafana.
