Job summary

Bank of America in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Senior Lead DevSecOps Engineer to drive secure, scalable software delivery. You will set the CI/CD strategy, lead engineering teams across multiple portfolios, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards for reliability and security.

You will champion shift‑left security, cloud‑native deployments, and automation across pipelines, while mentoring engineers and tracking delivery metrics to improve velocity and quality in a large, multi‑team environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with DevSecOps or platform engineering roles.
• Experience leading multi-team engineering organizations and enterprise-scale portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Windows fundamentals, networking, and automation.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and release orchestration (Ansible, XL Release, Harness).
• Experience with containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Excellent communication and ability to mentor engineers while fostering a DevSecOps culture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure design/engineering approaches align with the broader portfolio solution.
• Define technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate new testing practices.
• Enable teams with CI/CD capabilities and optimize pipelines.
• Guide design and best practices for high code performance and reviews.
• Deliver end-to-end automation for complex features across teams.
• Lead research and prototyping of new tooling for release management, CI/CD, and features.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and architects to define technical requirements.
