Job summary

Base-2 Solutions in Reston, VA seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure pipelines across classified environments, collaborating with customers and internal teams to embed security throughout the SDLC.

You will build CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins with STIG validation, create IaC with CloudFormation and Terraform, and guide teams on secure coding and compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph is required.
• 10+ years of DevSecOps or similar experience across SDLC.
• Experience delivering DevSecOps services across multiple classified domains.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Scripting in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS) and secure cloud architecture.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certifications (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SSCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated solutions across multiple classification environments.
• Work independently and in teams to meet complex technical requirements.
• Develop and secure CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins) with integrated scanning and STIG validation.
• Provide guidance on pipeline troubleshooting and DevSecOps best practices.
• Create IaC templates using CloudFormation to secure DevSecOps infrastructure in AWS GovCloud-like environments.
• Ensure STIG compliance and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
• Lead root cause analysis and mitigation for service degradation.
• Provide security guidance on secure coding, vulnerability remediation, and ATO support.
• Maintain documentation and promote continuous improvement.
