Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to lead infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD deliverables for the AIM project. You will design Terraform modules, manage HCP Terraform workspaces, and ensure least-privilege access across AWS resources.

You will also oversee secrets management and security reviews of infrastructure and pipelines. The role emphasizes building secure, automated pipelines using GitHub Actions and AI-assisted tooling, with governance and responsible adoption practices throughout

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Terraform experience with modules and remote backends.
• Experience with HCP Terraform (Terraform Cloud) and VCS-driven workflows.
• Experience with HCP Terraform private registry.
• Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, policies, roles and SCPs.
• Experience with a secrets management platform (HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager).
• Understanding of OIDC and federated identity in CI/CD and cloud access.
• Proven CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD) with environment promotion gates.
• Security-first mindset and experience with AI coding assistants in development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Terraform modules with clear interfaces and documentation.
• Manage HCP Terraform workspaces via VCS-driven workflows and policy enforcement.
• Provision and manage AWS resources using least-privilege access.
• Manage secrets with Vault or AWS Secrets Manager.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) with gating and testing.
• Conduct security reviews of infrastructure code and pipelines.
