Job summary

Draper, a nonprofit R&D organization, is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Software Engineer to deliver secure, scalable software across mission-oriented programs in St. Petersburg, FL.

You will architect pipelines, orchestrate Kubernetes workloads, and enforce policy-as-code while mentoring developers in secure practices. You’ll leverage GitLab CI/CD, Helm, and container runtimes, collaborating with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5–10 years of software engineering experience.
• Active government security clearance (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure DevSecOps pipelines and automated tests.
• Architect sub-systems and drive architectural decisions.
• Mentor junior staff and lead a small software team.
• Collaborate with customers and program leadership to translate requirements.
• Develop and maintain systems from design through deployment in Agile environments.
