Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead automation and deployment strategies for VA health applications. You will architect secure, scalable, cloud‑native solutions while driving automation and SDLC improvements.

The role requires deep DevSecOps expertise, experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform, and a willingness to travel to customer sites. US citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Ten plus years of experience in DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or platform engineering; non‑degree candidates need at least 16 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to architect and lead enterprise DevSecOps automation and deployment solutions in mission‑critical cloud environments.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes/EKS orchestration, Terraform automation, container security scanning, and blue/green/canary deployments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain centralized secrets management with automated rotation.
• Maintain configurations exclusively via IaC tooling and approve IaC changes.
• Perform configuration drift detection and remediation within required timelines.
• Manage certificate inventory and lifecycle; renewals and remediations for invalid certs.
• Support Change Control Board meetings; prepare change requests and rollback plans; perform post‑implementation validation.
• Prepare production change notifications and weekly change reports.
