Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) to advance platform architecture, automation and cloud infrastructure. You will work across Linux and Windows environments, driving deployment optimization and system performance.

The ideal candidate has strong Git, Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker and Kubernetes experience, plus AWS cloud expertise, and will thrive in a fast-paced, security-focused team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or CS and 15 years technical experience
• Fluent with Git and version control best practices
• Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and Windows admin
• Experience with Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker and Kubernetes for automated deployment
• Expertise with caching, MySQL, Elasticsearch
• Security practices, networks, firewalls, PCI compliance
• Experience with AWS cloud or virtualization in PaaS
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Ruby, C/C++, Go, Python, Java)

Responsibilities

• Support the development lifecycle: platform design, deployment, debugging
• Build and maintain a release pipeline for secure delivery to production
• Automate deployments across environments using scripting languages
• Configure sites/applications via Puppet and Ansible; maintain Confluence/Jira
• Assist in designing/maintaining web service infrastructure and deployments
• Identify and implement process improvements through automation
