Job summary

Omni Federal in Sterling, VA seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support an intelligence customer with platform enhancements, deployments and production readiness.

Ideal candidate has strong CI/CD, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), cloud deployment experience, and proficiency with IDAM tech and automation platforms. Secure, modern architectures and a mission focus are central to the role.

Qualifications

• 10 years' relevant experience plus a Bachelor's degree, or 8+ years with a Master's in STEM.
• Security+ CE Certification per DoDD 8140 requirement.
• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining cloud-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise configuring, deploying, and maintaining applications as AaC via CI/CD in cloud environments.
• Experience with container/orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Ability to demonstrate solid engineering rigor and problem-solving.
• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases (e.g., Cassandra, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to describe complex issues clearly.
• Experience integrating applications with workflow/ticketing/automation platforms such as ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of IDAM requirements and technologies (Active Directory, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC).
• Experience building test plans for unit and system validation.
• Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
• Experience with DevOps tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab).

We are seeking a strong Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support our intelligence customer in supporting enterprise platform enhancements, deployments and production readiness. Candidates must be passionate, energized, and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients.

Requirements:

• 10 years' relevant experience + Bachelors OR 8+ years and Masters in STEM Degree (Computer Science, etc)
• At a minimum, meet DoDD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification)
• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining cloud and modeling platforms using CI/CD pipeline in a cloud-based environment
• Expertise configuring, deploying, and maintaining applications as AaC through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Experience working with container and orchestration tools such as (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Ability to demonstrate solid engineering rigor
• Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills
• Experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases (e.g. Cassandra, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly and succinctly describe complex issues
• Experience integrating applications with workflow, case or ticketing, or automation platforms such as ServiceNow or custom-built systems
• Knowledge of IDAM requirements and technologies including Active Directory, SAML, OpenLDAP, OAuth 2.0, and/or OIDC
• Demonstrated experience with building comprehensive test plans for unit and user system testing and validation
• Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy
• Experience and comfort with basic DevOps Tooling (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with Cloud solution optimization
• Experience configuring and instrumenting visualization tools (Grafana, Splunk) to work with applications
• Experience with ServiceNow
• Integration of virtualized applications and application streaming or layering techniques
• Assist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud services, infrastructure and security domains
• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining COTS applications/tools systems engineering experience (configuring/deploying AaC using CI/CD pipeline in a cloud-based environment)
• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining IBM
• Enterprise Lifecycle as AaC using CI/CD pipeline in a cloud-based environment
• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining SharePoint as AaC using CI/CD pipeline in a cloud-based environment
• Experience configuring, deploying and maintaining Tableau as AaC using CI/CD pipeline in a cloud-based environment
• Experience with maintaining API Gateways, catalogs in a cloud-based environment
• Other Cloud experience (Azure, Google, Oracle, IBM)
• Familiarity with Containerized Development environments (Rancher, Kubernetes)
