Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company in Lewisville, TX, is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer on a contract basis to secure the software lifecycle across Azure, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and hybrid on-prem infrastructure.

You will implement automated SAST/DAST/SCA, enforce IaC and secure deployment practices, mentor teams, and drive continuous security improvements across development and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software development, systems administration, IT support, SRE, build/release engineering, networking, QA, DBA, or related roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps/DevSecOps experience.
• Strong understanding of security principles, including encryption, authentication, authorization, network security, and vulnerability management.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or comparable CI/CD platforms.
• Experience integrating security tools and automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SAST, DAST, SCA, vulnerability scanning, and security testing.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure security.
• Proficiency with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience securing Docker containers and Kubernetes environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with automated security controls and testing.
• Integrate SAST, DAST, SCA, vulnerability scanning, and other security tools into CI/CD workflows.

Senior DevSecOps Engineer in Located in Lewisville, TX(Onsite)

Our client is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on integrating security throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle, with hands-on work across Microsoft Azure, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, automated security testing, and hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructure. The position offers an opportunity to work across development, operations, manufacturing, security, and business teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions

This is a great opportunity for a senior DevSecOps professional who wants to take ownership of security across the entire engineering lifecycle—not simply bolt security on at the end. You’ll design and strengthen secure CI/CD pipelines, automate SAST/DAST/SCA and vulnerability testing, help secure cloud and Kubernetes environments, and influence organization-wide DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can translate complex security requirements into practical engineering solutions while mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement

Required Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience with Azure Local, Azure Stack, or AKS in on-premises/hybrid environment
