Job summary

Raya is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design and scale our global platform. You will own Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS-based infrastructure, drive performance optimizations, and sharpen reliability through SLOs, monitoring, and incident response.

You will mentor engineers, advance CI/CD, and explore AI-enabled workflows to automate complex tasks while ensuring cost efficiency and multi-region resilience.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of hands-on infrastructure engineering experience.
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, multi-region infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Docker for production environments.
• Experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, Ansible).
• Performance tuning and optimization for infrastructure and applications.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Go, Ruby).
• Background in SRE practices and reliability-focused design.

Responsibilities

• Design and build major new infrastructure components and platforms to support Raya's growing needs.
• Lead Kubernetes strategy and container orchestration for diverse workloads.
• Design and optimize infrastructure for maximum performance, memory management and efficient resource use.
• Implement SLOs, monitoring, and observability for high platform reliability.
• Apply in-depth AWS knowledge to multi-region, scalable architectures.
• Participate in incident response, on-call rotations, and post-incident analyses.
• Improve existing infrastructure through incremental, operations-friendly enhancements.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies for faster, safer releases.
• Integrate AI tools into infrastructure workflows to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure secure-by-design infrastructure.
• Design cost-effective solutions and implement optimization strategies.
• Mentor other infrastructure engineers to elevate engineering excellence.
