Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Senior DevSecOps Automation Solution Architect to drive modernization from legacy mainframes to secure cloud-native platforms for a major federal client.

You will design modern engineering and delivery practices, lead solution development, and guide teams through DevSecOps approaches ensuring reliability, security, and scalability across the transformation journey.

Qualifications

• 10+ years software development experience, including 5+ years in DevSecOps CI/CD
• 3+ years developing cloud-native software solutions (AWS Preferred)
• Certifications in software development, DevSecOps, or cloud-native architecture
• Expertise in DevSecOps automation, Agile/Lean delivery, and enterprise-grade CI/CD tooling
• Hands-on experience designing and supporting cloud-native architectures, containerized microservices, API-driven interfaces, and event-based systems
• Proficiency in modern development frameworks and languages (Java, .NET, Node.js, Spring, Angular, React, JSON)
• Experience with large datasets, data migration strategies, and modernization-aligned analytics workflows

Responsibilities

• Design and communicate DevSecOps automation strategies aligned with modernization goals
• Create technical briefings, roadmaps, and reusable artifacts for customers
• Guide engineering teams on CI/CD modernization, security integration, test automation, and cloud deployment
• Evaluate legacy mainframe workflows and plan prototypes for modernization feasibility
• Continuously assess progress and support improvements across development, deployment, security, and monitoring
