The Principal DevOps, SRE & Application Infrastructure Architect role at Themesoft Inc. is based in Austin with a hybrid work model and a 6-month duration.

The position focuses on designing and managing Kubernetes (AKS) infrastructure, building GitOps CI/CD pipelines, and leading production operations across multiple environments. You will implement observability using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana and Splunk, while administering Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Database, and related data

Qualifications

• 10+ years of DevOps/SRE experience.
• Expertise in Kubernetes (AKS), GitOps, observability.
• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate and production operations.
• Strong Java application troubleshooting.
• Client-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Kubernetes (AKS) infrastructure using Docker, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Build and maintain GitOps-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement observability solutions using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Define and manage SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Lead production support, P0/P1 incident response, RCA, and on-call operations.
• Administer Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Couchbase, Redis, and CockroachDB environments.
• Manage Oracle GoldenGate replication, failover, disaster recovery, and database tuning.
• Troubleshoot Java applications, REST APIs, gRPC services, and cloud-native messaging/caching systems.
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Shell and Python.
• Collaborate with Security, Network, and Application teams.
