Job summary

OpenTalent is partnering with Agilent to recruit an expert-level DevOps Software Engineer. The role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment automation across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.

The candidate will drive automation, scripting, and full-stack engineering support while enabling scalable delivery pipelines and improved SDLC processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, cloud architecture, and software development.
• Expertise designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong scripting and automation across multiple stacks (Bash/PowerShell/Python).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and GitHub Enterprise
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using AWS-native tools and automation frameworks
• Build and optimize cloud-native deployment pipelines on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS)
• Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python
• Support CI/CD best practices and SDLC improvements
• Collaborate with SRE on reliability, scalability, and performance
• Manage multi-tenant distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Support database operations (SQL and NoSQL), including migrations
• Contribute to application development and API testing/integration
