Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to supervise a small DevOps/SysAdmin team and help scale data workflows and a web UI. You will drive automation with Ansible, Terraform, and Podman, and support CI/CD in GitLab across bare metal and AWS environments.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with 25+ software engineers, and guide system design, security, and observability. A TS/SCI with polygraph is required for this mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher with significant experience in DevOps.
• Security clearances (TS/SCI) considered a plus.
• Experience with AWS and on-prem/MASH environments is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor two system administrators daily.
• Collaborate with 25+ software engineers across teams.
• Guide system design and setup with software teams.
• Drive end-to-end development lifecycles in secure environments.
• Maintain health of EC2, MASH, bare metal servers and production systems.
• Migrate Apache NiFi from MASH to AWS cloud.
• Architect AWS cloud setups (EKS, ECS, Lambda, Secrets Manager).
• Manage Kubernetes and Podman container deployments.
• Oversee Cisco network configuration and performance.
• Ensure SSP accreditations and CNO security compliance.
