Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, automate, and support cloud infrastructure across AWS and hybrid environments. The role emphasizes Terraform IaC, cloud networking, CI/CD pipelines, and disaster recovery to ensure reliability and security.

The ideal candidate will own infrastructure from architecture to operations, working with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions in a highly regulated financial services setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience with EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, SQS, Aurora, Secrets Manager, KMS, Route 53, CloudWatch.
• Terraform for IaC and automated provisioning.
• Experience building pipelines in GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
• Deep AWS networking knowledge (VPC, Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, Direct Connect, VPN).
• Experience across multi‑account AWS environments, governance, and security best practices.
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery across regions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts and regions.
• Architect and support enterprise networking solutions including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, Direct Connect, VPN, DNS, and load balancing.
• Develop and validate multi‑region disaster recovery strategies for platform resilience.
• Build, optimize, and maintain GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins pipelines for automated provisioning, testing, deployment, and governance.
• Support cloud modernization initiatives including containers, databases, serverless tech, messaging, observability, and security controls.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, cloud, and network connectivity issues with root‑cause analysis and remediation.
