Adgtech seeks a DevSecOps Engineer to support modernization and technology transformation for government clients, enabling secure, scalable operations across cloud and on-prem environments.

Role requires US citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance, and hybrid work with a weekly onsite presence in the DC Metro area.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins using Groovy.
  • Experience with container-based technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, OpenShift).
  • Experience with AWS managed services (VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS) and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, NewRelic).
  • Familiarity with configuration management (Chef, Puppet).
  • Solid understanding of microservices and code management (Git, Subversion).
  • Experience maintaining Java/Node web apps (Spring Boot, React).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines and tools for enterprise-scale systems with a large developer base.
  • Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) code artifacts and container-based solutions.
  • Write scripts (Bash, Python) to automate DevOps processes and troubleshoot issues with development teams.
  • Provide deployment support by deploying applications and microservices in cloud environments.
  • Monitor and improve 24x7 production environment performance and availability.
  • Administer network monitoring, alerts, logs, and IT systems; participate in on-call rotations.
  • Apply OS patches and security updates to maintain healthy prod and non-prod environments.

Job description

We are seeking DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on modernization and technology transformation projects that will positively impact the critical missions of our government clients and solve challenges that aim to improve millions of lives across the globe.

Clearance: US Citizenship with ability to obtain Public trust clearance

Location: Every Wednesday onsite a week is mandatory

Responsibilities
Design and Development
  • Maintain CI/CD software delivery pipelines & tools for an enterprise scale system with a large developer base
  • Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) code artifacts
  • Maintain container-based application solutions
  • Write and run ad-hoc scripts (using Bash, Python etc.) to automate DevOps processes
  • Work with development teams to troubleshoot specific issues by recreating tests, validating configuration, etc.
  • Provide deployment support by deploying applications and microservices in cloud environments.
Operations
  • Maintain, monitor, and help improve the performance and availability of the 24x7 production environment including networks, servers, databases, etc.
  • Administer network monitoring system, alerting, log management, and other IT systems
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide hands‑on support during emergencies, outages, and service transitions
  • Manage operational maintenance such as OS patches, security vulnerabilities etc. to ensure healthy status of various prod and non-prod environments
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially with Jenkins using Groovy
  • Hands‑on experience with container‑based technologies, especially Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, OpenShift
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS managed services (VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS), including monitoring and analytics tools such as AWS CloudWatch, NewRelic
  • Familiarity with configuration management using Chef, Puppet or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of microservice concepts
  • Experience with code management systems (Git, Subversion)
  • Experience maintaining Java/Node web applications (Spring Boot, React)
  • Keen communication and teamwork abilities

Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar required

Work Authorization: US citizenship required in order to obtain a US government Public Trust clearance

Location/Remote: Hybrid, candidate must be local to DC Metro and ready to come onsite at least once a week.
