Job summary

DCCA in Annapolis, MD is seeking a DevOps Engineer 3 with active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance. The role focuses on building release pipelines, automating deployments, and leading Agile teams to deliver secure, scalable IT solutions for government and commercial clients.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in Agile environments, strong Linux and AWS expertise, and hands-on experience with Git, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, and configuration management tools.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent with Git
• Strong knowledge of Linux environments
• 10+ years in an Agile dev environment
• Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with caching technologies and databases
• 10+ years of system architecture experience
• 10+ years of AWS cloud and virtualization
• Fluent in at least one OOP language (Ruby, C, C++, GO, Python, or Java)
• Experience collaborating across multiple teams
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support the development life cycle of platform architectural design, deployment and debugging
• Build release pipelines for fast, safe production delivery
• Maintain CM practices (GIT) including branching/merging
• Act as technical lead in Agile ceremonies
• Automate release deployments across stacks
• Set up new sites/apps via Puppet/Ansible
• Maintain Confluence/Jira documentation
• Design and deploy web service infrastructure
• Analyze service stacks for improvements
• Automate processes and configurations
• Communicate across stakeholders
• Support operations as needed
• Protect confidentiality
• Leverage Python/Ruby/Perl/Java
• Proficient with DevOps/SRE methodologies
• Configure networking with SDN
• Ensure high availability and monitoring
• Set up CI with containers, serverless, Kubernetes
• Architect/build best practices for build tools and CI/CD
• Collaborate across teams
