Role Overview : As the first dedicated Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in establishing, shaping, and leading the DevOps culture and practices within our organization. This role requires a highly skilled professional with robust experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) methodologies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and operational processes to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) supporting real-time data analytics and machine learning operations.
• Develop and maintain scalable and automated CI / CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ensuring efficient code deployments.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure efficiently across environments.
• Lead monitoring, reliability, and security best practices for our production environments.
• Advocate and promote DevOps culture and practices, working closely with software engineering teams to enhance development pipelines through automation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments, ensuring operational continuity.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, and recommend tools and practices to improve our operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps role, specifically in a cloud environment.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services and management.
• In-depth experience with CI / CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily using Terraform.
• Strong background in Linux / Unix Administration.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with system monitoring tools and automated logging solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with remote teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certifications in Google Cloud Platform and Terraform.
• Experience in startup environments where rapid prototyping and iterative changes are common.
• Previous experience in setting up DevOps practices from scratch in a growing organization.
