Job summary

Mirantis, an AI infrastructure leader, is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to run PostgreSQL and Apache Kafka behind k0rdent-ai, a multi-tenant control plane for enterprise GPU infrastructure. You will deploy and operate stateful services across cloud and bare-metal clusters.

This hands-on DevOps/SRE role requires ownership of automation, upgrades, observability, backups, DR, and self-service access for product teams through code.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps/SRE/platform/infrastructure, incl. 3+ years on stateful systems in production.
• Hands-on Kubernetes operations across cloud and bare-metal clusters.
• Experience running PostgreSQL and Kafka through operators and maintaining Helm charts.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, upgrade, scale, and operate PostgreSQL and Kafka via Kubernetes operators.
• Manage GitOps pipelines, CI/CD, and declarative workflows.
• Design and implement high availability and DR with RPO/RTO targets; perform failover drills.
