Job summary

PayCargo, LLC seeks a Senior Engineer, DevOps/Platform Reliability to modernize legacy jobs and file processes into containerized, observable services across a multi-account AWS environment. You will codify infrastructure as code with Terraform, standardize deployment paths, and advance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions with OIDC authentication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, VPC, IAM) and knowledge of Azure or Entra ID.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform with CI.
• Strong Docker experience and container orchestration (ECS/Fargate, ECR).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions and OIDC.
• Monitoring/observability tools such as CloudWatch, Sentry, Athena/Glue.
• Secrets management and secure deployment practices.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with production infrastructure, multi-region, payments/fintech a plus.

Responsibilities

• Modernize legacy scheduled jobs and file processes into containerized services.
• Build reusable Terraform patterns and CI plan/apply.
• Standardize environment configuration and secrets management.
• Create platform standards for developers to follow.
• Build and harden CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and OIDC.
• Embed security gates into pipelines with Security and Engineering.
• Implement monitoring with CloudWatch, Sentry; improve telemetry and on-call workflows.
• Support AI platform infrastructure with whitelisted egress and bounded environments.
